Thank you. You are not alone! You are correct...the devil doesn't bother his own and allows/blesses them to no end but then that's it. Hell is a heavy price to pay for this life for them. We are determined to fight til the end.
shortly after the death of a co-worker's wife - they were a lovely couple and he adored her and she was insanely sweet - he was destroyed by this. he came to my cubicle one day and saw a picture of my father on my desk, I explained to him how I lost him young and it damaged me but I came to realize that the pain was a reflection of how lucky I had been to have had somebody that it hurt so much to lose. he turned away I think tears filled his eyes.
later he said, this helps me. I understood.
I don't envy people the pain of loss but I know why that pain of loss exists.
