In light of events, national, international, physical, digital and spiritual, I present the following from Philippians 4:4-9.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
We should rejoice for God's grace while it's still relatively easy. The Bible says that there will be a time when there is a famine of the Word of God. For tens of thousands, that famine is occurring right now, but there is no guarantee that we of the First World will be spared this. See: Canada.
In order to do this, we need to renew our minds each and every day. Else we get bogged down in the horrors of this world and begin to be fooled into thinking that there is no escape and that the good guys and the Good Guy don’t win in the end.
AFTERTHOUGHT: Found this after I published.
Today, I needed to hear exactly what you just posted.
Nice reminder on this, I get very discouraged for the futures of my grandchildren and great grands.
