I’ve received a lot of traffic in the last few weeks - thanks to the Blogfather. My Firefly post garnered the most hits so far during my time on Substack; 20K and counting. I plan to receive much more.
I’ve received some criticism for making a few of my posts subscriber-only, so now those are free to read for any and all. Since I made that change, I’ve received criticism for even asking for donations!
Truth is, I can’t keep doing this without those donations. Though all my other bills are paid, I’m still a month behind on my rent. There is also a project - a movie review of Hebrews to Negroes - that requires a lot of time both for the viewing and the reviewing.
By nature, I’m an analyst and a storyteller - my own stories and those of others. There’s some overlap there.
