Today is August 1st and, since I’m a military retiree, I received my pay. Every penny of that goes to my landlord.
For today, I had planned to send my rent to my landlord via Zelle. One of my bank accounts allows only $500 per week to be sent using Zelle. The other, USAA, allows much more to be sent during the same time frame, which is why I opened the account in the first place.
I transferred the money to the USAA account and now it’s on hold!
I can’t pay my landlord and I can’t cancel the transfer. (Yes, I asked.)
Oh and did I mention that we are still talking about July’s rent?
UPDATE (5:10 PM PT): $30.
I can't hit the like button for this one, cause I don't like your reality at all. How SUCKY. I had the same issue with my credit union when I transferred a chunk of change from my 401(k). Immediate transfer, but on hold for 2-3 days. I fussed at them, but that was just for me, because I knew it wouldn't change.
